Sri Lanka experiences two monsoon seasons, which affect different parts of the island. The south-west monsoon affects the highlands and south-west coast and runs from late April through to September. The north-east monsoon runs from October to February and predominantly affects the north, north-west and east coasts and the highlands. Sri Lanka is therefore a year-round destination because half of the country is always in season.

Major credit cards, including Visa and MasterCard, are accepted at most hotels, shops and restaurants of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka is an excellent destination for family tours.
